“Our ultimate goal is not the sale of
a funeral – it’s the creation of something much more important
– a meaningful service that is appropriate and affordable for each
of the families we serve.”
Our staff is dedicated to providing families with
compassion and guidance as they cope with a loss. Our goal is to provide
you with a unique and dignified way to honor the memory of your loved
one. We know that everyone is special in his or her own way. So when it’s
time to plan a funeral, we like to honor special requests or do whatever
we can help your family arrange a service that is a fitting tribute to
the life of your loved one.
The families we serve have many options for services
at a variety of costs that provide any level of funeral service they desire.
Our understanding and knowledgeable funeral directors are dedicated to
respecting your family’s wishes and helping you make an informed
decision. There are virtually unlimited choices available, and each family
has the opportunity to select whatever they believe is appropriate for
them. Whatever your family chooses, our staff will provide them with the
same quality, caring service and attention to detail.
TRADITIONAL FUNERAL SERVICES
Professional Assistance
Planning the details of a funeral and coordinating the
service are difficult tasks in a time of crisis. Beginning at the moment
we receive notification of a person’s death, our professional staff
will begin to assist your family with the many details of planning a funeral.
We’ll take responsibility for the care of your loved one. A funeral
director will make arrangements to meet with you to discuss your wishes,
assure compliance with the law, provide assistance with floral selection
and help coordinate the time and place of the funeral service. We’ll
make our staff and facilities available to your family and help coordinate
the details of the service with the clergy, the cemetery, or other participants
in the ceremony. Our caring staff will also aid your family in completing
any necessary paperwork including obituary notices, Social Security forms,
and Veteran’s and insurance benefits.
Casket
Selection
We offer an extensive selection of fine wood and
metal caskets. After choosing a casket from
our funeral home, we make a donation to the York Children’s Foundation
in the name of your loved one. The Foundation makes the donations to community-based,
non-profit children’s organizations to help bring positive change
to the lives of children in our local communities.
Memorial Selection
Choose from one of our special guest registry packages
and an assortment of other remembrance items and keepsakes. We also offer
assistance with the selection of a monument or marker from our memorial
selection room.
Adding a Personal Touch
We can offer suggestions on the many ways of making
your loved one’s service a personal one. Families find that personalizing
the service makes the time all the more comforting to those attending.
- Share family portraits

- Include memorabilia
- Choose special music
- Consider a theme
- Plan a video tribute
CREMATION SERVICES
Cremation is an option more families are choosing as
part of their funeral plans. The reasons people give for choosing cremation
vary. There are those who believe cremation is a less expensive funeral
care alternative. Some believe it’s the “right thing to do”
for the earth. Still others choose cremation when families are separated
by distance. Whatever, your reasons for choosing cremation, our staff
will be by your side to explain the many options available.

Funeral Services with Cremation Prior to
cremation, your family may choose to have a visitation and a funeral service
with your loved one present. Our knowledgeable staff will explain cremation
caskets and cremation rental caskets for those families choosing to have
a viewing followed by cremation. Services can
also take place after cremation, either at the funeral home or your church.
Your family may or may not have the cremated remains placed in an urn
for the memorial tribute services.
Regardless of when a service is held, having some kind
of ceremony provides family and friends with the opportunity to say a
final “good-bye.” This time also gives your family an opportunity
to share their memories and give support to one another.
Final Disposition
Placing the cremated remains in a permanent memorial
is just as important to some families as the memorial service itself. For
many, a grave or mausoleum niche is a place to visit and remember the life
of their loved one. Others find a place in their home to keep the cremated
remains. Choosing a place for final disposition provides your family the
opportunity to visit and reflect in a permanent, identifiable location.
Whatever your wishes, our professional staff will
assist your family in planning a unique, individual tribute for your loved
one before or after the cremation process.
